How to Achieve Slow Motion FX Effects
Slow Motion FX is a unique application that allows you to create amazing, fast-paced videos with artistic editing styles. It is one of the best apps on Android to bring a unique touch to your video clips, giving you the opportunity to make them go faster or slower many times without losing quality and speed.
It is a popular and creative editing method that has changed the face of world cinema. It is often used to emphasize a particular action, a high artistic detail or to highlight witty or amusing effects in a video clip.
There are several ways to achieve slo-mo effect on a video, including hand cranking an early camera (or using post-processing software), or recording the film at a higher frame rate than it will be played back at. Typically, a frame rate of 5,000 to 10,000 frames per second is needed to achieve this effect.
Using a Velocity Envelope
To slow down a video event, right-click the clip and choose Insert/Remove Envelope>Velocity. A green line appears on the video event that you can drag to reduce playback speed. Hold CTRL while dragging, and the increment decreases for more precise adjustments.
Add Points
To define additional points, right-click the envelope a little further down on the video event and choose Add Point. The envelope then becomes a curve between the initial point and your new point, ramping up to the new speed as you move along it.
